Painting Process Description All Art of Glass glassware is painted using six or more layers of color. Each layer must dry for 24 hours before the next is applied or the brush will pull both the old and new layers off from the glass. Rather than mixing, the colors are applied in separate coats, building exciting new shades. This process gives the glass and unusual luminous quality. Finally, the glassware is dried for one more day before being baked in an oven, bonding the paint to the glass and resulting in a both beautiful and durable surface. All large pieces and some of the finer small items are signed, dated and come with certificates of authenticity upon request.

Care Instructions All of our glass is painted using non-toxic glass paint and adheres to food safety requirements. Although the paint is dishwasher safe, we at Art of Glass would still prefer that you treat it as you would your fine china and hand wash with hot, soapy water. Inscriptions Subtle, brief commemorations applied in a size and color comparable to the artist's signature. They are offered at no extra cost.

Shipping Methods and Costs All glassware is wrapped and boxed carefully. To assure safe transport, this initial container is then wrapped and packaged in a second box. All packages are insured and provided a tracking number. Shipping costs are provided on a per piece basis. In the case of orders where we can ship several pieces in a single package and accomplish a savings in shipping charges accounts will be credited accordingly. At no time does Art of Glass make any profit on shipping, any savings are passed directly on to you.
